OUR PROGRAM SERVICES

The Akofena After-School Youth Soccer Program operates during the school year, aligning with the spring and fall sports seasons. The program is currently offered at these Title 1 schools, University Hill Elementary School, Columbine Elementary School, and Whittier Elementary School, all located in Boulder, Colorado at no cost. Akofena provides a unique opportunity for over 100 youth from low-income backgrounds, prioritizing students who face health and equity challenges. We are partnered by Boulder Valley School District (BVSD), Life-long learning (LLL) and Family Resource School (FRS).

This cost free program goes beyond soccer training, focusing on holistic youth development by fostering teamwork, physical health, leadership skills, and self-confidence. Through accessible and inclusive programming, Akofena breaks down financial barriers and creates a supportive community that encourages participants to thrive academically, socially, and athletically.
